A Penny Dreadful

October 7-9, 14-16

"Irma" is a mystery/comedy, and is a campy tribute to Gothic Horror films.  It is often considered a tour de force for actors, as it features two actors playing eight cross-gender parts.  The play required lighting quick costume changes, illusion based on mime and movement, and instant changes in character.  Props and set pieces are minimal and heavily reliant on special effects, sight gags, nuance and suggestion.  It is a zany fast paced romp, with high energy actors!
